Guildhall students learn from and are mentored by our full-time faculty of experienced industry veterans, as well as adjunct faculty who are leading game developers making games by day and teaching here in the evenings.
Our faculty have worked on more than 300 professional games, a few of which include: Age of Empires, Aliens, Angry Birds, Avengers, Backyard Sports, Batman, Battlezone, Borderlands, Brothers in Arms, Call of Duty, Command and Conquer, Counter-Strike, DOTA, Doom, F.E.A.R., Fallout, FIFA, Forza, GoldenEye, Guitar Hero, Halo, Half-Life, James Bond, Left 4 Dead, Medal of Honor, Monsters vs. Aliens, Mortal Kombat, NBA Live, Orcs Must Die, Portal, Quake, Rainbow Six, Ready 2 Rumble, Skylanders, Star Wars, Team Fortress, Tempest, Terminal Velocity, The Elder Scrolls, The Evil Within, Top Gear, Ultima, Unreal 2, Vertical Reality, Walking Dead, Zork and many more.
Their careers have spanned three decades at more than 40 leading game studios, including: Activision/Blizzard, Atari, Day 1, Electronic Arts, Gearbox, id, LucasArts, Microsoft, Oculus, Origin Systems, Playful, Red Storm, Retro, Robot, Rovio, Sega, Sony, Terminal Reality, Ubisoft, and Valve.
Faculty participate in sponsored game design research, often partnering with students in those endeavors. Past project sponsors include: Valve, Epic, National Science Foundation, Texas Educational Service Center, Region 13, IBM, Microsoft, Nintendo, Intel, Dell, Oculus Rift, America’s Army, Department of Justice, U.S. Institute of Education Services, Texas Film Commission, and The Centsibility Project, among others.
