Christopher Widomski has been a conductor of musical theatre, operetta and opera for the past 20 years in New York and Texas, and has been a musician in pit orchestras for over 100 productions. He has been a conductor for the Meadows Lyric Theatre program since 2017, working closely with Hank Hammett and Jason Smith on Opera-Free-For-All and other performances. He specializes in performance practices of American musical theatre and operetta both on the stage and in the pit orchestra, conducting techniques for the theatre, “Pops” conducting, and the symphonic music of Joseph Jongen.

A native of the Utica, NY area, he holds master’s degrees from SMU in Organ Performance and Instrumental Conducting and was a student of Larry Palmer and Jack Delaney. He has also worked with Paul Phillips and Pamela Elrod-Huffman. He earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam in Potsdam, NY. In addition to his duties with the Division of Music at Meadows, he is the Director of Music and Liturgy at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Rockwall, TX.
