Example

Edgar Allan Poe. The Pit and the Pendulum. [N.p.]: Pixie Press, 1993.

Miniature binding in sculptural stand. Full leather binding with brass clasp covered in black reverse pigskin. Decorated top and bottom edges. Gold-stamped label on spine. The structural stand, also in reverse pigskin, contains a recessed platform holding the miniature. Movement of the steel pendulum attached to the canopy allows the platform to raise, bringing the book into view.
