Only service animals and animals featured in programs sponsored by SMU Libraries are allowed in the Libraries.
- Fondren Library and Underwood Law Library have shortened guest access hours. You must show your SMU ID to enter or stay in the building after hours.
- Bridwell Library and Hamon Arts Library are open to everyone.
- Business Library is closed to the general public. SMU-affiliated patrons or SMU alumni with valid library cards are welcome to use the library.
- DeGolyer Library is open by appointment only.
Food & Drink
All libraries allow drinks with a lid, except DeGolyer Library and other special collections areas. Food is allowed in Fondren Library, Hamon Arts Library, Underwood Law Library, and Business Library (except for the Kitt Center). Please be considerate of others in the library and clean up trash. Report any spills to the desk in your library.

Guest Computer Use
Bridwell Library has computers available for use by non-SMU guests. All visitors to SMU campus may bring their own devices and connect to SMU Guest wifi. See our Guest Services page for more information about guest borrowing.

All tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and vapes, are prohibited inside SMU Libraries buildings.
