Ethics Resource Repository

Professor Recommendations

At SMU and Cary M. Maguire Center for Ethics & Public Responsibility, we take deep value in our professor's opinions about ethics and how they teach ethics in the classroom. We believe the resources that our professors utilize to teach ethics in the classroom, which exposes our students to ethical issues so that they maybe life long ethical decision makers, should be publically accessible to the greater community. By allowing some of our classroom resources to the community, we believe this will help foster a better community awareness about the ethical issues we face in our world today.

The Cary M. Maguire Center for Ethics & Public Responsibility has reached to our SMU professors, Faculty Advisory Committee and our Teaching Fellows in order to ask them for their inside prespective to where they look to find resources on ethics, which they use to teach ethics and conduct their own ethical research. We have asked our professors to see their syllabi to examine what textbooks, websites, and books they use to teach ethics to their students. Our Professor Recommendation pages also allow us to chance to hightlight their own ethics research so that we may share their knowledge and expertise about ethics with the rest of the community.
