The research interests of Dennis Simon, Ph.D., associate professor of political science, include the American Presidency, presidential-congressional relations, public opinion, electoral behavior and research methodology. Two current projects include a study of the evolution of popular and legislative leadership in the American Presidency, and the electoral and ideological change in the South since 1930, which is supported by a grant from the Dirksen Congressional Center.
