Tanya Harathi is a second-year undergraduate student at Southern Methodist University majoring in biological sciences with a minor in business. Her interests lie in the intersection of healthcare and ethics, particularly how ethical frameworks shape health systems and patient care. She serves as an undergraduate research assistant at the SMU Cary M. Maguire Center for Ethics and Public Responsibility, and will continue working with the center next year on the Ethics Student Advisory Board, focusing on bridging the gap between students and ethical engagement on campus. She is also a board member of the South Asian Student Association.

Tanya is actively involved as a member of the University Honors Program, Student Foundation, Women’s Innovative Network, and Hegi Career Leaders, and performs with the SMU Rang Bollywood Dance Team. She brings a strong background in student leadership, mentorship, and healthcare service, and is passionate about contributing to conversations that elevate diverse perspectives and leadership.
