Shreenaya Prabu is from Irving, Texas and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a Biomedical Specialization. She is a member of the University Honors Program. She previously served as a Lyle Senator in Student Senate and Secretary of the American Cancer Society, and currently works as an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Chiao and Dr. Beskok’s lab and as a teaching assistant for organic chemistry lab. Outside of school, she volunteers at Children’s Medical Center Dallas and enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog. She plans to attend law school after graduation and pursue a career as a patent attorney.
Shreenaya joined the Maguire Ethics Student Advisory Board to explore the intersection of healthcare, engineering, and law. Through her experiences in clinical settings and engineering research, she has seen how complex decisions can impact people’s lives and is interested in how ethical frameworks can guide innovation and meaningful discussion within the SMU community.
