Mayson Trujillo

Ph.D. candidate, Department of Psychology

RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Mayson’s research interests center on the measurement of personality and psychopathology. In particular, she is interested in improving the psychometric properties of these measurement tools by examining the factors that influence their reliability, including transient measurement error. Her dissertation examines the short-term test-retest reliability of self- and informant-report measures of nonpathological and pathological personality traits. The project will test if self- and informant-report measures are differentially influenced by measurement error.

ROAD TO THE MOODY SCHOOL:

Before her time at SMU, Mayson earned her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in psychology. While there, she worked as an undergraduate research assistant for the Center for Advanced Measurement of Personality and Psychopathology. This work sparked her interest in this area of research and led her to pursue her doctorate at SMU.
