Professional Game Development Education
The Guildhall at Southern Methodist University is one of the premier graduate video game education programs in the United States. Since 2005, the program has graduated more than 500 students, and alumni are working at over 150 video game studios around the world.
The Guildhall offers a master’s degree in interactive technology and a graduate professional certificate. Students also select an area of specialization — Art Creation, Level Design, Production, or Software Development. Classes are taught by industry veterans, who work as mentors to develop skill and talent in the next generation of game creators.
Game Design Master's Degree
The entrance requirements for the Master of Interactive Technology in Digital Game Development degree include: a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university or college with a 3.0 overall grade-point average, and adequate subject preparation in art creation, level design, production or software development.
Game Design Professional Certificate
The Professional Certificate in Digital Game Development program is an intense, professional development program for digital game developers. The curriculum was designed by expert educators and instructional designers to meld the theory and practice of game-related coursework.
