Create impactful solutions for environmental change
SMU Lyle’s Master’s in Environmental Engineering puts students at the forefront of solving important issues in energy, water and sustainability.
About the Program
Skilled environmental engineers are in high demand to address the world’s most critical environmental challenges impacting air, water, land, and human health. Our research-driven Master’s in Environmental Engineering Program equips students to find innovative solutions for improving the well-being of people and the planet.
In our state-of-the-art teaching facilities, students conduct research in labs dedicated to environmental processes engineering, hydraulics and hydrology, environmental biotechnology, soil and water chemistry, and energy and the environment.

Our student's take on the program
“The faculty and fellow students in the environmental engineering department created a welcoming, fun, and supportive environment to learn in while exploring different aspects of the field and preparing for the workforce. I am grateful for my time here and I wouldn’t trade my experience for the world.”
