Cariloop:Take care of your loved ones with an experienced Care Coach in your corner.

Cariloop provides support services for those whom may be taking care of a loved one, whether a relative, friend or neighbor! Cariloop allows you to never feel alone again when navigating through the caregiving journey by providing excellent service through their Care Coaching. Enrollment into Cariloop is as simple as dialing 972-325-5836 or visiting the site at cariloop.com/smu as SMU covers this benefit for full-time and part-time faculty and staff. Of the vast subjects Cariloop Care Coaches can assist with, we have listed a few below to get an initial understanding of some of the ground they cover:

  • Alzheimer's Disease
  • Autism
  • Medicare and Medicaid
  • Parkinson's
  • Pediatric Care
  • Family Dynamics associated with caregiving
  • Out-of-State caregiving and concerns

In addition to the above, please see the flyer for additional subjects that Cariloop can help with. Diving further, Cariloop can help with health/medical questions and concerns as well as financial/legal and general caregiving tactics. To highlight a few, they can aid in navigating different levels of transition within healthcare, locate providers that accommodate care needs (home health, rehab, skilled facilities, hospice), guide through the costs associated with care and how to prepare for those costs as well as providing advice for how to start difficult conversations with a loved one.

The Cariloop site houses an online case management portal that allows you to consult with the Care Coaches as well as upload documents to provide a smoother caregiving experience with other loved ones who may be assisting with the caregiving journey. Cariloop can assist with employees that may be dealing with out-of-state caregiving and will ease some of the burden when helping a loved one who is not close to home.
