A dedicated church and community musician, Zentner-Barrett is deeply committed to global music that serves to bridge the gap between diverse experiences and expressions of faith. He currently serves as Minister of Music at Kanata United Church in Ottawa, Ontario, where he oversees a vibrant choral and instrumental program. Additionally, he is the Director of Music for Anglican Studies at Saint Paul University where he is also a Master's student in theology.

Studies with Debbie Lou Ludolph and C. Michael Hawn have shaped his leadership approach, which fuses ancient and modern hymnody with innovative performance techniques. As a musical enlivener, Zentner-Barrett uses music to respond to the call to witness, engaging all people in a full engagement with song.
