Community Events for May Term 2026

Forgot something at home? Realize you need an item for class next week? There will be a trip to Walmart hosted by Rae on May 18th  at 6:30 pm departing from the Dining Hall. 

There are only 10 seats available. Please message Rae or another Taos team member if you can no longer attend so that someone else may take your seat. 

Bruce Atencio from New Mexico Game & Fish will be on campus to host archery! Never shot a bow and arrow before? No problem, we'll teach you everything you need to know.

We'll set up by the library with some targets, have lessons, and then maybe even tromp through the woods to try our hands at some 3-D targets. It's a ton of fun - come down after dinner and see if you've got what it takes to hit the bullseye!

Join Noah for a hike at the Gorge Bridge (weather permitting)! Bring warm clothes, hiking boots/shoes, and a snack to eat at the turn around! 

We will depart from the dining hall on Friday, May 22nd at 2 pm.

Discover the History, Art, Food, and Culture at Santa Fe Plaza on Sunday May 24th departing at 9:00 am from the Dining Hall. You will return by 3 pm. Lunch is not provided so please pack a picnic lunch at breakfast if you do not want to buy a lunch in Santa Fe!

Running out of toothpaste? Need some study snacks? Depart at 6:30 pm in the Dining hall on May 25th for a quick trip into Taos to the Walmart.
