Fred Perpall
Chief Executive Officer, The Beck Group
Fred Perpall is Chief Executive Officer of The Beck Group, the Dallas-based architecture, construction and real estate services firm with offices across the United States and Mexico.
Since becoming CEO in 2013, he has guided the firm's strategic growth, strengthened its integrated delivery model, expanded its national presence, and reinforced its reputation as one of the industry's leading design and construction organizations.
Fred began his career in architecture and construction in 1996 and has spent nearly three decades helping clients solve complex challenges through innovation, collaboration, and design excellence. In recognition of his contributions, he was elevated to the prestigious College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects, one of the highest honors an architect can receive.
Known for his entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative leadership style, Fred brings energy and curiosity to all he does, whether in business, civic leadership, or philanthropy. He serves on the boards of directors of FedEx Corporation and Starwood Property Trust.
Fred recently completed his three-year term as President of the United States Golf Association in March 2026, becoming the first African American and first Texan to serve in the role. His path in golf leadership is unconventional. After taking up the game 12 years ago at Northwood Club, he became involved in the creation of Trinity Forest Golf Club and later served as chairman of its Board of Trustees. His leadership and commitment to growing the game ultimately led to his appointment to the USGA Executive Committee.
A native of Nassau, Fred played on the Bahamian National Basketball Team before moving to the United States to attend The University of Texas at Arlington, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Architecture. He is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School and a former Americas Fellow at Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Policy.
Fred and his wife, Abi, live in Dallas and are proud parents to daughters Ava and Ali.
