Biography

Richard F. Cerrone is an experienced corporate director, private equity board member, and former Fortune 500 senior executive with more than 50 years of leadership experience guiding business growth, organizational transformation, and governance. He brings a unique combination of operating expertise, board leadership, and investor perspective gained through decades of executive management and private equity involvement.

Richard has served for more than fifteen years as a member of the Board of Business Executives for Gridiron Capital, a leading middle-market private equity firm. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Engaged2Excel, a Gridiron portfolio company, providing strategic oversight to executive leadership while supporting growth initiatives, organizational development, and long-term value creation. As an investor in multiple private equity funds, Richard understands governance from both the operating and investment perspectives. Prior to his board career, Richard spent forty years with Xerox Corporation, where he held numerous senior executive leadership positions in sales, marketing, and operations throughout North America and Europe. He retired as a Corporate Officer and Senior Vice President after leading complex organizations, developing high-performing leadership teams, and driving business performance across multiple international markets.

In addition to his corporate and board responsibilities, Richard serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, where he teaches management and leadership. Previously, he taught undergraduate and graduate courses at Fairfield University's Charles F. Dolan School of Business and continues to lecture on leadership, organizational behavior, executive development, and workforce preparedness. Richard has also demonstrated a longstanding commitment to nonprofit governance and education. He served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cheshire Academy and was a Trustee and Executive Committee member of St. Aloysius School in New York City. He also served on the Advisory Board of Fairfield University's Charles F. Dolan School of Business. Richard earned a Master's Degree in Corporate and Political Communications from Fairfield University
