Biography
Dr. Lale Guler is a Clinical Professor at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. She previously taught at the University of Texas at Austin, Imperial College London, the University of Texas at Dallas, and Baruch College (CUNY). Her expertise includes sustainability reporting, corporate governance, and sustainable finance, and her research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals. She is a recipient of the Deloitte Best Paper Award, the American Accounting Association Outstanding Reviewer Award, and the Presidential Award for Teaching Excellence. Her current research focuses on sustainable finance, executive decision-making, and SEC enforcement of ESG-related misconduct. Dr. Guler earned her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. She enjoys dancing and international travel.
