Biography

Douglas Neil combines experience in global entertainment marketing with MBA-level teaching in digital marketing and media strategy. He has taught digital marketing and media and entertainment marketing at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

As executive vice president of global digital media and marketing at Universal Pictures, Neil directed worldwide digital campaigns for more than 200 films. His responsibilities included media planning, creative development, analytics, social media and strategic partnerships. He previously managed entertainment partnerships at America Online and affiliate relations and partner marketing at the Disney Channel. His experience also includes serving as chief marketing officer and chief branding officer at Chronicle.

Neil earned an MBA from Dartmouth College and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the College of William & Mary. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and has received industry recognition for digital marketing innovation.
