Interview with Jack Keane

During the decision to surge, General Jack Keane, U.S. Army (retired), served on the Defense Policy Board, a committee that provides advice on matters of defense policy in response to assigned tasks from the Department of Defense. Keane, a four star general, came to this position after a lifelong career in the military, including service in the Vietnam War, and engagements in Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia, and Kosovo, culminating in leadership positions such as vice chief of staff and chief operations officer of the U.S. Army.
