Applications for Spring admission must be received by November 1st. Applications for Fall admission must be received by May 1st. Applicants will be notified shortly after these deadline dates.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the standard policies regarding GRE and TOEFL/IELTS scores have changed. Submission of GRE scores is optional and students who do not submit GRE scores will be evaluated fairly based on the rest of their application. Duolingo scores will be accepted instead of TOEFL/IELTS scores. Student's receiving an offer that submit Duolingo scores will be notified to complete a speaking assessment through SMU’s Intensive English Program Office before receiving the offer.
