How to Request an SMU ID card for Non-employees

Using the Help Desk Portal at help.smu.edu, an SMU Employee may make the request.

  1. Login to the Help Desk portal with your SMU ID and password.
  2. Click on the ID Card Services icon.
  3. Select Request for Guests: New ID number or ID Card.
  4. Complete the fields and click Submit.

Please allow 24-48 hours to process the request.

Non-Employee Photos

SMU ID card photos are no longer taken in the Parking and ID Card Services office and should be emailed by the requestor to idcard@smu.edu. Images must meet the photo requirements as outlined on the SMU ID Cards page.

Need to replace a card?

The sponsored user may submit a Help Desk Ticket to request a replacement card.
