Effective Monday, January 26^th, 2026, researchers will no longer submit PIAF proposals to the Sponsored Projects Administration. Users will be required to log in to Cayuse with their SMU credentials (SSO). Training resources and FAQs are available on the Cayuse webpage which users are required to review before attempting to use Cayuse for a smooth transition.

In support of SMU's research enterprise, Sponsored Projects Administration (SPA) aims to provide our community with client-centered, professional administrative expertise to support the responsible management of sponsored projects through responsive and transparent communication. Our office serves as a vital resource for researchers seeking funding for their world-changing projects. We offer comprehensive support throughout the lifecycle of a grant proposal, from identifying funding opportunities, proposal review and submission, contract negotiation, to non-financial post-award management.
