Financial Conflicts of Interest
The Financial Conflicts of Interest (FCOI) Program, codified in SMU Policy 10.7, helps Research Compliance identify and manage any potential or actual conflicts of interest involving sponsored projects. The program requires that Responsible Parties disclose any financial relationship with a funding source and complete a training course. Responsible Parties are individuals who conduct externally funded research, provide oversight for externally funded research, or negotiate research agreements.
