Khaled Abdelghany's research focuses on adopting analytical techniques for the analysis, modeling and optimization of complex urban and infrastructure systems. He has developed various software applications for traffic network modeling, crowd dynamics and airlines strategic planning. He is currently serving as a member of the Transportation Research Board Committee on Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing. His research has been supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), U.S. Department of Transportation, U.S (USDOT). Department of Energy (ARPA-E), and several consulting firms.
