Research

A goal of the Data Science Institute is to familiarize those inside and outside the university with the rich spectrum of research in data science taking place on our campus. We also aim to foster collaboration among our faculty and between our faculty and outside industry, government, and nonprofits.

SMU DataArts

SMU DataArts, located in the Meadows School of the Arts, collaborates and consults with off-campus clients, such arts organization leaders, foundations, governmental agencies, industry service organizations, and academic researchers to examine the factors that influence the health of arts and cultural organizations, arts consumption an engagement, and the national arts and culture ecology.  

Deason Center for Criminal Justice Reform

The Deason Center supports data-driven criminal justice research that has practical implications for criminal justice reform. SMU facultystaff, and students can access their support for their research projects at the link above.
