About

I study global scale lake and river processes and how they respond to climate change and other human influence. To study processes at global scale, I combine cloud computing and machine learning to extract meaningful environmental information from satellite images. Decades of satellite recordings of our planet provide a wealth of information on our interaction with the environment and with each other. Aside from my main interests in hydrology, I have a wide spectrum of interests in global environmental change and am interested in discussing potential collaborative projects.
