The SMU Science & Technology Law Review will host its annual symposium, "Retail Law, Technology, and Policy," on January 31, 2025, at SMU Dedman School of Law. This event will bring together esteemed scholars, practitioners, and industry experts to explore the legal implications of emerging technologies and trends in the retail sector. Participants can expect engaging discussions on critical topics such as intellectual property, privacy, and artificial intelligence across four panels:

1. IP and Brand Protection Considerations for Retailers
2. Advertising, Data Collection, and Privacy in the Retail Industry
3. Retail and AI: Risks, Opportunities, and Ethics
4. Retail Reinvented: Business Trends, Technology, and Legal Challenges to Know in 2025
