Highlight: The Power of a Dedicated Career Center

students shaking hands

Kaleb Lee, BBA '17, had an internship interview coming up with The Boston Consulting Group. A sophomore at the time, Kaleb turned to the SMU Cox Career Center for help. Armed with confidence, a polished resume and question preparation, Kaleb made it through five rounds of interview before landing an offer. During his initial 10-week internship he helped to restructure the Latin American division of a Fortune 500 company. Kaleb went on to become the youngest person ever to receive a full-time offer from the prestigious consulting firm — before he'd graduated from SMU Cox.

Offering hands-on research workshops that build upon SMU Cox curriculum and partnering with faculty to develop tailored instruction, the Business Library enriches the experience of Cox BBA students. Targeted workshops range from international business, to Bloomberg, to researching companies for a chosen career. Students can ask a Business Librarian for help with a business topic for a class, organization, or individual research, by email, chat, social media, or in person.  SMU Cox BBA students have a significant advantage in being able to navigate Business Library resources to help set them apart from the rest.

Faculty: Learn from the Best

We don't just teach business — we're immersed in business. When they’re not educating you in applicable knowledge and skills, your professors are consulting for Fortune 500s, publishing books and research, running their own businesses and serving in government. Small class sizes and a calendar full of events where you can mingle informally mean you’ll be able to build one-on-one relationships with the academics and professionals who are invested in your future.
