AmeriCorps / Teach for America Billing

Program Overview

The SMU Simmons School of Education is an educator preparation provider for Teach for America (TFA) and AmeriCorps.

Billing Support

The Bursar’s Office assists TFA / AmeriCorps cohorts with the redemption of their available AmeriCorps funds through the AmeriCorps portal.

Conditional Credit Applied

Once approved as a TFA/AmeriCorps cohort by Simmons, a Conditional Credit is placed on your student account for the approved amount.  

This placeholder prevents late fees or holds while payment is pending from AmeriCorps.  

Students remain responsible for any charges not covered by AmeriCorps and must initiate redemption of funds through the fund portal.
