Bio

Rene Arnold is a proud alum of Virginia State University where she received a BS in Public Administration. After leaving VSU, she worked for the governor of Virginia and the Virginia Community College System in service-learning education and student activities. Rene went on to obtain a MA in Magazine & Online Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University and a M. ED in K-12 Literacy & Composition Intervention (with a concentration in Executive Coaching) from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. She has more than 18 years of experience in education including being a high school English teacher in Charlotte, NC, an instructional coach, and a district level administrator.

 

For the past six years, Rene has served as an education and community operations consultant and project manager, working with firms, curriculum companies, and school districts to support equity-based, high-quality teacher training. Furthermore, she partners with non-profit and community organizations and supports them in developing program and operations systems, protocols, and policies. Rene continues to engage her passion for teacher development by serving as an adjunct instructor of teacher education at the Johns Hopkins Graduate School of Education.
