Tess Balentine joined the SMU Academic Development of Student-Athletes team in January 2023
as a Quantitative Learning Specialist. Tess has been a tutor in ADSA since August 2016, providing subject-specific support in Mathematics, Statistical Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Spanish, and related courses. She earned a B.S. in Mathematics from SMU in May 2018. While earning her Bachelor’s Degree, Tess was Captain of the SMU Cheer Team. Prior to SMU, Tess previously worked as an Analyst at JPMorgan Chase. Born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, Tess currently resides in Dallas.
ADSA provides academic counseling to help student-athletes make informed decisions about their degree, major selection, plan their semester courses, and maintain their NCAA eligibility.
