Samantha LoCoco came to the Hilltop as a WRTR professor in 2019,
worked with student-athletes as a tutor in 2020, and has now officially joined the ADSA team as the Writing Specialist for student-athletes in 2022. Samantha received her BA with honors in English and World Literatures from Marymount Manhattan College, and her master's degree in Writing from The New School, becoming the first person in her family to do so. Having spent nearly twenty years as an editor and educator, she has dedicated much of her time cultivating the voices of others, deepening her love of collaboration. In her role as Writing Specialist, Samantha works with students to strengthen their comprehension of grammar, syntax, and essay organization so that students can accurately and effectively share their voices with the world. She brings with her a boundless curiosity and encourages her students to do the same.
ADSA provides academic counseling to help student-athletes make informed decisions about their degree, major selection, plan their semester courses, and maintain their NCAA eligibility.
