Katie Evans joined the Hilltop as a Senior Academic Counselor in ADSA in August 2022.
Katie was a track and field student-athlete at the University of Missouri before graduating with her B.S. in Secondary Social Studies Education, B.A. in History, and M.Ed. in Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology. Before joining the ADSA staff, she was the Assistant Athletic Director for Academics at Southern Utah University where she oversaw the academic programming for 15 sports, which including academic advising, coordinating tutoring, advising SAAC, coordinating Career Development workshops, and lecturing Student-Athlete Success courses. Katie is a native Missourian and still holds the 2A state record in shot put and discus.
ADSA provides academic counseling to help student-athletes make informed decisions about their degree, major selection, plan their semester courses, and maintain their NCAA eligibility.
