Jill Moore

As Certification Officer in the Office of Accreditation and Student Success, Jill Moore supports the SMU Educator Preparation Program, focusing on Texas educator certification and accreditation. Ms. Moore joined SMU in 2010 as a Research Associate with the Institute for Evidence-Based Education, where she conducted assessments to grade school students across multiple school districts in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

In 2014, her work transitioned to the Simmons Department of Teaching and Learning and the newly launched partnership between SMU and Teach For America. Since the inception of the SMU–TFA Teacher Preparation Program, she has played a key role in guiding TFA corps members across Texas through the one-year program. Her responsibilities later expanded to include support for undergraduate Educational Studies teacher candidates and students pursuing the Master of Education with educator preparation within the Department of Teaching and Learning.

In 2025, Ms. Moore transitioned to the Simmons School Office of Accreditation and Student Success, where she contributes her expertise in Texas educator programs and accreditation. She considers it an honor to contribute to programs that are vital to the preparation and continued advancement of educators.
