Eojin Han joined SMU as an assistant professor in the department of Operations Research and Engineering Management in August 2020. His research interests are broadly on developing new mathematical models and computational methods by combining optimization, data analytics, and domain-specific insights to solve real-world problems of practical relevance and societal impacts arising in healthcare, supply chains, and service systems. His scholarly works have been published in top academic journals such as Management Science and Operations Research. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences at Northwestern University in 2020 and B.S. degree in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering at Seoul National University in 2015.
