Eryn Lyle

Eryn Lyle is a Law Fellow and Staff Attorney in SMU Dedman School of Law's Civil/Consumer Clinic, where she works with the clinic's Heirs Property Project. Her work includes mentoring and supervising law students as they help Dallas community members navigate complex probate matters, organizing estate planning and probate workshops for underserved communities, advocating for clinic clients in probate court, and researching probate law policy. Before joining SMU, Eryn practiced law at Hopper Mikeska, P.L.L.C. in Austin, focusing on estate planning, probate and trust administration, guardianship, and probate litigation. She has also taught as an adjunct professor at Texas A&M University and speaks frequently at CLE programs on trust and estate topics. During law school, Eryn clerked for the Hon. Guy Herman at Travis County Probate Court No. 1. She received her B.A. in history and English literature from Texas A&M University in 2018 and her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2021.
