Kenna Curry is a Ph.D. student in Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. Her research interests include, ecofeminist hermeneutics and the book of Judges, translation theory of modern Bibles and the intersections with secular translation theory, and text criticism of the Hebrew Bible. She is particularly interested in examining the biblical texts’ depiction of ecological violence and how that violence interacts with violence among marginalized communities.

 

In addition to her academic work, as of April 18, 2026, Kenna is an ordained Baptist minister in association with the Alliance of Baptists and Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. She received her M.Div. and M.T.S. from Perkins School of Theology SMU (2025) and her B.F.A. in Theatre Performance from Baylor University (2020).
