About

Dr. Jon Haghayeghi is an economist with academic, government, and applied consulting experience. His research and professional work focus on financial economics, market efficiency, valuation, and applied economic analysis in legal and public policy contexts. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Claremont Graduate University, where his dissertation examined weak-form efficiency and calendar anomalies in U.S. equity markets.

Dr. Haghayeghi has held teaching appointments at Loyola Marymount University, California State Polytechnic University, and Southern Methodist University. He has also served in senior public-sector leadership roles for the State of Alaska, including Executive Director of the Commercial Fisheries Entry Commission and the Alaska Commission on Aging, where he led statewide economic and policy initiatives.

In addition to his academic work, Dr. Haghayeghi is a Principal at J. Herbert Burkman & Associates and a Senior Economist at Reynolds & Earle, where he provides expert testimony as an economist on matters involving economic damages, lost profits, and business valuation, including bad-faith insurance and privacy-related class action litigation in state and federal courts.
