I was born in...
Sylhet, Bangladesh
Hobbies...
I enjoy traveling, spending time with the people close to me, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen. I also spend a fair amount of time learning about the newest developments in politics, physics, AI, and robotics.
Why Economics...
I've always been curious about how people respond to incentives, and that curiosity kept pulling me toward questions like: does a policy actually achieve its desired outcome, and could it have been designed better? Economics gave me a way to pursue those questions, and I want to get good at both design-based and model-based approaches so that, down the road, I can help shape policies that actually work.
I'm an ambivert, and my wife is also a PhD student; however, our dinner conversations aren't always about study and research.
