    Ken McGovern is Principal at QuantiPhy, advising clients in Finance, Investments, Capital Markets, and Corporate Development. Serves as consultant, advisor and in CxO capacity.

    As Chief Investment Officer at Bermuda based Flagstone Reinsurance, helped transform Warren Buffett’s hedge fund team into Flagstone Re, raising over $1.1 Billion in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Led Flagstone’s international investment team. Served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer at $30 Billion AUM Hedge Fund and Asset Manager based in Dallas.

    Ken served as Director of Capital Markets for Walmart, where he spent over a decade, working in IT (data analytics and design), Merchandising, and Corporate Finance.  Prior to Walmart, McGovern taught advanced programming concepts to trading and back-office teams at Morgan Stanley.  Working with NASA's General Counsel, designed and developed NASA's Patent and Licensing System (PALS).  Through IBM, consulted to the U.S. Air Force Satellite Testing Facility in Sunnyvale, CA.

    McGovern is Adjunct Professor at Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business. Teaches Global Mergers and Acquisitions, Derivative Securities, Alternative Investments and Fixed Income Securities. He received his Masters in Mathematical Finance from Columbia University, MSIA from Purdue University, and a BS from the University of Maryland.
