Leadership Development & Coaching

The Hart Center is available to help students craft a Personal Development Plan, PDP. The PDP includes developing SMART goals and strategies aligned with professional and leadership development. Interested students should request a meeting with the Hart Center’s leadership development director, Kathy Hubbard

The Hart Leadership Assessment (HLA) is where your leadership journey starts. The HLA is a short questionnaire created to measure where your leadership strengths lie and where there is room for improvement. Your leadership assessment will help the Hart Center work with you to identify opportunities to grow the leadership skills that employers value in new hires. The HLA was especially developed for engineering and computer science students by the Hart Center for Engineering Leadership in partnership with the Center for Creative Leadership, a talent development firm based in Greensboro, N.C

Hart Leadership Follow-Up Assessment

This follow-up self-assessment is taken at the end of the first year to help measure improvement, refine a student’s Personal Development Plan, and customize activities for the student to further practice leadership and professional development skills.
