Dear Faculty and Staff:
Thank you for your participation in the 2010-11 Faculty and Staff funding drive supporting The Second Century Campaign. I am so pleased with the strong support that has been shown. Last year, close to 1,400 faculty and staff members gave nearly $600,000 to SMU, helping to fund student scholarships, enhance the campus experience, and attract and retain distinguished faculty. Last year’s participation rate was 64%.
As we enter our centennial celebration period and a new academic year, please consider renewing your support of SMU this year. A new giving option, engraved pavers, will be available to all faculty and staff. This option will allow you to leave a lasting impression on the Hilltop for generations to come.
As a reminder, gifts to any area on campus support the campaign, whether endowment or operating funds and including engraved pavers and the President’s Partners program.
Similar to last year, each school and unit will have a participation goal. Click here to see your department’s goal for the 2011-12 academic year. You will receive information in the near future about this year’s kick-off event September 9 and the friendly competition between the divisions that has been so successful the past two years.
