SMU Health Center

The SMU Health Center offers counseling services as well as general medical checkups. 

Women & LGBT Center

The Women & LGBT Center promotes awareness for issues regarding gender equity.  

Student Involvement

The Student Center and Activities office hosts many events to promote community and help students explore their passions and skills.

Career Development

The Hegi Family Career Development Center provides career guidance and many workshops to help students enter and navigate the professional world.  

Academic Advising

The University Advising Center provides degree plan guidance and other academic support for students.

International Student & Scholar Services

The International Student & Scholar Services office provides support to international students in a variety of areas.  

Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center (A-LEC)

The A-LEC offers free tutoring and a variety of workshops helping ease the transition into the college level academic workload.  

Deason Innovation Gym (DIG)

The DIG is a maker space open to all SMU students. Students can receive training on a variety of machines, and build their own projects 

McNair Scholars Program

The McNair Scholars program offers support and mentoring for students seeking to go into graduate school.

Study Abroad

SMU Abroad offers information on SMU’s study abroad program and scholarships to study abroad.

SMU Libraries

SMU Libraries offer live assistance for researching topics and navigating the many databases SMU students have access to.

Office of Engaged Learning

The Office of Engaged Learning offers a variety of programs centered around project-based student learning with funding. Projects from all disciplines are welcome and encouraged. 

Tsai Talks

Tsai Talks are hosted at the Deadman School of Law and include discussion on how law, science, and innovation overlap

Caswell Leadership and Emerging Leaders Programs

The Caswell Leadership Program provides students with the resources and support to conduct their own projects and develop leadership skills while doing so. Emerging Leaders is a leadership program for first-year students to help grow leadership skills and form connections on campus.  

Southwest Venture Forum

The Southwest Venture Forum is a forum for Entrepreneurs seeking advice, capital, or other general information to meet with professionals to receive those things

Small Business Clinic and Trademark Clinic

The Small Business Clinic and Trademark Clinic provide free legal services to small businesses who can’t afford them.

Patent Law Clinic

The Patent Law Clinic is a part of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s and offers patent services to individuals and small businesses.
