  • Highlight: Create a Real World Marketing Plan for Fox Sports

Allie Colbert, BBA ’17, parlayed her passion for strategic marketing into a win for Fox Sports Southwest. The Dallas native teamed up with four other SMU Cox BBA students to take on a challenge from the network: Develop a comprehensive marketing campaign for coverage of the Dallas Stars hockey team. Allie and team pitched their proposal to Fox senior executives, who crowned them winners of the annual competition.

“This project allowed me to apply everything I learned from my marketing classes and internships,” Allie says. “I feel even more confident that I can tackle whatever my career throws my way.”
