Mustang Family Workshops

Join the SMU Parent and Family Programs office as we host a new virtual series called Mustang Family Workshops! These workshops will include expert panelists from around the Hilltop as they share insight and best practices for supporting your student in all areas of their life. Be sure to register in advance for each workshop. Log into the SMU Parent and Family Experience Portal to register!

Family Weekend

Looking for information on Family Weekend? Family Weekend occurs annually in the fall. The date is determined and announced at the same time as the fall football schedule. More information will be relayed via the SMU Parent and Family Experience Portal and newsletter. Be sure to sign up and stay up-to-date on our biggest family extravaganza of the year!

  • Attend Family Weekend in the Fall and Founders’ Day in the Spring
  • Post job vacancies and internships on SMU’s job search app “Handshake”
  • Volunteer as an “information resource” for students seeking information about various careers
  • Attend or Host a Send-Off Party for new Mustangs
  • Participant in events hosted by SMU in your area
  • Join the Mustang Club
  • Buy tickets and attend men’s and women’s athletic events
  • Attend events at the Meadows School of the Arts (Symphony, Theatre, Gallery Shows, Recitals, Dance performances, etc.)
