Stev'anne Horton

Stev’anne Horton is the Executive Assistant to Dean Stephanie L. Knight in the Simmons School of Education and Human Development. She oversees the Dean's schedule and meetings, Simmons School graduation, and Faculty & Staff meetings, and ensures that the office activities and obligations are carried out smoothly. Prior to working at SMU, she taught advanced high school science courses for 9 years before serving an additional 4 years as an Instructional Coach in Katy ISD. She also has 3 years of experience managing and overseeing business operations and communications of a private preschool in Houston, Texas.  
She earned her B.S. in Kinesiology from The University of Texas, a M.ED. in Administration from Lamar University, and an MBA in Management from the University of Houston-Victoria.
