Choose the class that meets your needs to be ready on exam day.
SAT and ACT Boot Camps
Whether you are looking for a last-minute boost before your SAT or ACT test date or you need to kickstart your longer-term study plan, build your strategy to approach your college entrance exam with confidence. SMU’s experienced instructors present information in manageable units, focusing on each component of the exam, giving you the skills needed to approach questions.
SAT and ACT Summer Institutes
Our in person ACT and SAT Summer Institutes aim to help students understand the design of the exam in a condensed, four-day format on the SMU campus. Students receive an overview of each section of the exam and then practice test-taking skills as a group and individually. Our instructors focus on teaching strategies for approaching the different types of exam questions and applying existing knowledge to solve them. SMU test preparation courses break down standardized tests into manageable units, giving you the skills needed to approach each question.
GED Test Prep
More than a credential, the GED® is a tool for adult learners to develop your critical thinking skills and self-confidence and unlock career and educational opportunities. SMU offers completely online and self-paced courses for GED® test prep through our curriculum partner, MindEdge, Inc. You can select from individual subject matter courses or a comprehensive suite of courses that covers all four distinct test subjects. Each course includes exam-taking tips, a diagnostic test that doubles as a full-length practice exam, practice questions at the end of each module, and a second full-length practice exam at the end of the course.
