JournalismThe Division of Journalism offers students intensive and complete preparation in convergence journalism. Students may specialize in broadcast, print or Internet journalism. All three specialities offer a solid grounding in critical thinking, reporting, writing, editing and law. The faculty in all three specialties present a multiyear emphasis in the ethics and professionalism of media work. Students complete practica and demonstrate professional expertise in their area of specialty before graduating. Students also leave the journalism curriculum with technological adaptability so they will be comfortable in any delivery platform into which media evolve in the future.
