The Shop is here to support current SMU students who are experiencing food insecurity by offering free non-perishable food and everyday essentials at no cost. This campus resource is made possible through a partnership among Parent and Family Programs, Student Advocacy and Support, and SMU Libraries.
Beginning in Fall 2026, The Shop will be open to students every Monday (1-6 p.m.) and Thursday (1-5 p.m.). To begin accessing The Shop, please complete the steps below.

Started through a generous donation, The Shop is sustained by the ongoing support of the SMU community. There are two ways you can contribute non-perishable goods and essentials to SMU students in need.

Drop-off Donations
We accept donations of non-perishable food and basic essentials, which may be dropped off Monday-Friday (8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.) in the Office of the Dean of Students, located in Hughes-Trigg Student Center, Suite 205.
We know that food insecurity does not always exist as a sole concern. We are here to help. Please contact the Office of the Dean of Students about other resources that may be available to you.
