Program Cost
The current (2024-2025) tuition for the M.Ed. in Education Leadership is $825/credit hour plus associated program and course fees, which is the anticipated minimum for all students. Graduate students in the program take advantage of SMU's reduced tuition rate for educators. Please visit our Bursar's website for more information. Tuition and fees are subject to change.
Financial Aid
Students who are admitted to a degree program and who enroll for a minimum of 6 hours in any one term may be eligible to apply for federal financial aid. Contact the Office of Financial Aid for additional details.
Scholarships
James T. and Wynona Mobley Scholarship
This one-time $5,000.00 scholarship is awarded annually to two newly admitted M.Ed. Educational Leadership students serving in urban areas.
Criteria:
- Five years of teaching experience
- Track record of improving student performance
- In a leadership role for at least one year
- Strong vision for leading diverse campuses
- Driven by passion for students
- Leadership rooted in ethics and integrity
- Strong undergraduate academic background
Process:
- Complete scholarship application after submitting program application
- Write a one-page (250-300 words) letter telling the scholarships committee how you meet the criteria provided and why you are deserving of this scholarship.
- The deadline to submit the scholarship application is April 15, 2026.
